My first sleepover!

All of the guests may have left when Keira's birthday party was over, but for me and my best cousin ever, the party was really just beginning!! And it started here, in the bath. Keira and I took a much needed bath and played with toys while we were in there. It was a blast!

After our bath we ate babas (with Juh-Juh and Gramps) and fell fast asleep. We were of course wiped from our very busy day.

But the next morning we woke up and hung out. We may not look alike, but our mommies think the one thing we really do have in common is our crazy morning hair. I have to admit, even with our crazy morning hair we are cuties!!!

While waiting for breakfast, Keira and I checked out all of her awesome presents from her birthday party. Keira let me play with her toys - that's how I know she's the best big cousin.

We ate a yummy breakfast of waffles (made by Aunt Jenny) and just chatted like little girls do. I think that once we can really formulate sentences our mommies are going to have a hard time getting us to stop talking!

After breakfast we played some more, watched "Yo Gabba Gabba" and danced our heinies off!

Now that I know how cool sleepovers can be, I can't wait for my next one! Thank you Keira (and Aunt Jenny and Uncle Darrell) for having me and my mommy and daddy over. We had the best time ever and can't wait to do it again.

It's a party for Keira!

This weekend mommy, daddy and I packed up the car and headed to New Jersey. We were going there for a very special occasion - it was Keira's 2nd birthday party!!! I was so excited since it had been one whole month since I last saw Keira (and the rest of my family). On the drive down, daddy chilled in the backseat with me. I think he wanted to nap on the way down, but I stole his pillow, so he had to stay awake and entertain me.

Keira's party was an Abby Cadabby themed party. Keira was so lucky, she got to dress up like Abby, her fairy dress even had wings on the back!

Keira's backyard was set up like a playland! I hung out in the pool a lot. I had an awesome time hanging out with Keira, Mia, Ella and baby Mae in the yard. I swung on the swing and played on the slide and teeter totter.

I even got some quality time in with the birthday girl! Keira is the best big cousin!!

Keira got lots of cool presents that included so much stuff for her baby dolls (baby Carlos and Eleanor are so lucky)! One of my favorite parts of the day were the cupcakes - made special by Aunt Jenny. They were yummy and I was so lucky that mommy shared her cupcake with me.

I had such a good time at Keira's birthday party. Boy can those Deckers really put on a party! Happy Birthday to my best big cousin Keira!

It takes two whole hands...

...to tell you how many months old Riley is today!!

Wow 10 months! Riley has continued to grow and learn each day this past month. Her biggest accomplishment this month has been crawling. She is a crawling machine!! Riley now has a total of 4 teeth, with one more definitely making its way in as we speak. She no longer eats baby food (with the exception of the different varieties of Gerber graduate foods), but for the most part she enjoys what mommy and daddy enjoy. We enjoy her personality (she's a pretty funny kid) and love spending time playing games and teaching her new things.

Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day - obviously my daddy's first, so I wanted to make it extra special for him. This morning daddy woke up with me (I slept in until almost 6:30, just for him). Then I couldn't wait for him to open up the present I made for him at daycare. He loved it, just like I thought he would.

Daddy spent the morning playing with me and listening to my favorite songs. I sang "Pop Fly" just for him. I got so tired from all that excitement that I needed a nap. Daddy let me take a nap on one of my favorite spots, his chest.

After my nap, we got ready and went over to Babcha and Pop's house. We wanted to wish Pop a Happy Father's Day too. I had fun visiting them! We watched the birds in their yard, I blew bubbles and played ball. It was a great time.

I also want to give a shout out to Gramps, Uncle Darrell and all the other fathers out there. I hope you had a great Father's Day!!

I hope that daddy enjoyed his first Father's Day. I have to say, I think I have the best dad in the world! I love when daddy wakes up with me in the morning and then lets me fall back to sleep on his chest, I love when daddy plays songs and sings them to me, I love our daddy/Riley time when he brings me to daycare on some mornings, best of all I love that he loves me more than anything in the world. I am one lucky little lady!!

Happy Father's Day daddy - I love you!! Love Always ~ Riley Paige XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Feels something like summertime...

The weather is finally getting warmer out! It's almost the official start of summer. Today is was so warm out, that we decided to test out the pool. We weren't sure how Riley was going to react - but thankfully she had herself a wonderful time (even with the water being a little chiller than expected).

Riley telling daddy - let me in the water!!!

Enjoying her Finding Nemo float.

All dried off and ready to go home.

We can't wait to spend many more summer days hanging out and relaxing by the pool.

It was a fun weekend!

This past weekend, Juh-Juh and Gramps came for a visit. They showed up on Friday night and let me stay up late and hang out with them. On Saturday I woke up and I was told by mommy that we were going back to the zoo. I thought it was a good idea to be allowed to show Juh-Juh and Gramps my town!

I had a blast at the zoo!! My favorite animals to watch were the lemurs and penguins. They pretty much rocked. I discovered that I don't like monkeys - there is nothing about them I like! Don't make me look at one, act like one or make the sounds of one. NO MONKEYS PLEASE!!!!

After our afternoon at the zoo, I brought Gramps and Juh-Juh over to Babcha and Pop's house. There we had a cookout. It was fun. I enjoyed eating hamburger for the first time ever. It was yummy and I cannot wait to have some more. Thankfully Babcha and Pop weren't too angry that I came over in my Yankees gear.

On Sunday Gramps, Juh-Juh, mommy and I all went to the big mall. Of course there was no way I was leaving there without a prize! Juh-Juh and Gramps bought me a pretty dress (like I needed another one). Mommy and Juh-Juh bought pretty dresses too, they said it was for my birthday luau party.

Thanks for visiting! Can't wait to see you again soon!

9 month check-up and all is well

Today we had Riley's 9 month check-up. Her appointment was 2 weeks later than normal because we had to get a new doctor. Dr. Hsie left the practice we were going to and we now see Dr. Rufa. I think we made a great choice. She is very kind and Riley seemed to like her until she had to measure her head. So just to be brief here's a recap of the appointment: we came, we saw, we grew - a lot!! Dr. Rufa said that Riley is looking great and advancing well. She has no worries about our "little" peanut.

Here are Riley's stats for this visit:

Length: 29.5 inches
Weight: 21lbs. 8oz.

She got one shot, and took it like a big girl! In three months she will go back to get 3 more shots for her 1 year! Who wants to celebrate their birthday like that??? NO FAIR :(
