Hoppy Easter Everyone!!!

What a wonderful Easter it has been! Our Easter celebration began yesterday when we attended church for the blessing of the food. Babcha made me my own basket of food to be blessed.

When we got home we dyed Easter eggs. This year I was even better at it than last year. I picked out all of the colors that I wanted to use and I even tried my hand at tye dying the eggs (it was not easy at all, but it was fun).

We left a bunch of carrots for the Easter Bunny with the hopes that he would give me lots of goodies.

It worked! The next morning I woke up to a basket full of goodies and had to hunt for the eggs that silly rabbit hid on me!

I was a good egg hunter - and found the eggs with little to no help from mommy and daddy.

Then we got ready and headed over to Babcha and Pop's house to celebrate Easter with them and the Dacko's.

My newest cousin Alex and I hunted for plastic eggs that were filled with candy or money. We both did a good job finding the eggs and I even helped Alex find some eggs!!

After Babcha and Pop's house we went home where mommy and I made a red velvet cake together and mommy made a delicious dinner for us. It was so yummy!!!

We ate our delicious dessert after dinner and I can't forget that we got to webcam with everyone at Juh-Juh and Grandpa's house.

Today was a great Easter. Between the candy and prizes, it was like Christmas in Spring. What's not to love about that??!! I hope everyone had an awesome Easter.

Update!

While we're waiting patiently for the April showers that bring May flowers to end...I will give everyone a quick update as to how things are going here in the Clark household. Potty training is no longer training. Riley hasn't worn a diaper in over a month and we never looked back. She tells us that she needs to go to the potty and what I have learned about a child who has learned how to use the potty regularly is that she has to use the potty EVERYWHERE we go! No seriously, if we go somewhere we always go potty before leaving. But the minute you get to the store you hear "I have to go potty." About 90% of the time she doesn't actually have to go - she just wants to check the bathroom out. It is kind of a pain - but I can't say no for fear that the one time I do she will end up having an accident. Better safe than sorry! Bedtime is a breeze these days too. I cannot remember the last time I dreaded bedtime. Riley is into the routine and it is working for ALL of us. This is how well it's working out for us:

Oh how it is wonderful to have our lives in order (for now)!!

Spring is ACTUALLY here!!!

This is no delayed April Fool's joke...spring has sprung here in the 'Cuse!! The sun has been shining, the birds singing and the Clarks have been out of the house!!! Everyone is happy. We spent the weekend out and about. We took our second trip to the zoo, Riley rode her bike and we visited the playground at East Hill Elementary School (since Wegman's Playground is closed until at least May). Oh to feel the sun shining and have the weather be in the high 40s again...April we love you!!!!
