Halfway to one...when did that happen??

So it seems to me to be a simple question...where in the world did the time go???  How is it that our baby Avery is already 6 months old.  I mean, in 6 very short months this little firecracker is going to be 1!  It is so hard to believe.

This past month was a good one for Miss Avery.  She celebrated her first Easter, got to hang with her cousins and get some professional pics done with them.  She began trying new foods - all (the veggies anyway) made by mommy.  She has tried squash, sweet potato and most recently avocado.  She eats cereal every morning and loves that!  She is strictly bottle fed.  Avery wakes up once a night (lucky us)!!

This month she was also baptized at Holy Family.  She slept through most of the ceremony and was a doll when she was awake.  She has been "talking" a lot!!!  I swear she says Riley...really!!!  Overall, Avery continues to be the sweetest of sweet babies.  We continue to look forward to all the new things Avery will be experiencing over the next month.

Of course. children's half birthdays are celebrated in the Clark house...cupcakes with purple frosting for Avery (because Riley thinks Avery's favorite color will be purple).

Same shirt, same age, such DIFFERENT babies!!!
(Riley told me that they look nothing alike because she has so much more hair than Avery!)

God Bless Avery Parker Clark

On Sunday, April 14, 2013 Avery Parker was baptized at the Holy Family Church.  It was a beautiful day and we loved spending it with all of our family and friends.  Avery is very lucky to have her Aunt Jenny and Uncle Matt take on the responsibility of her godparents.  And just like her big sister, Avery did so well during the baptism and looked beautiful to boot.

Butternut Squash!

On Thursday, April 4th Avery tried for the very first time, Butternut Squash and it was a success!!  I made it myself by boiling the squash and then using the Baby Bullet to puree it.  It was a lot easier than I was thinking it would be.  Avery seems to like the squash and we're looking forward to trying new foods.  Check out the pics and video at the end of her first experience with squash!

Happy Easter - 2013

Another fantastic Easter under our belts!!  This year everyone came to our house and we celebrated Easter at Babcha and Pop's house.  Saturday we went to the blessing of the food at Babcha's church, and then we came home to dye eggs and decorate cupcakes!

This is what it looked like before the kids discovered their baskets of goodies!

Sunday morning was all about checking out their baskets, hunting for eggs and getting ready for Easter dinner.

The girls all looked beautiful in their Easter dresses.  They all made out like bandits and I think overall it was quite the successful Easter.  Can't wait until next year!!!

Rice Cereal!

On Friday, March 29th after being given the green light to start cereal (and other foods too), we had Avery try out some rice cereal.  She loved it!!  Everyone took a turn feeding her.  I have a feeling she is going to be a good eater.  Soon, I'm hoping to be able to start Avery on squash.  I am making her food so now it's going to be about finding the time to do it.  Stay tuned for more deliciousness!!
