6 year check-up

Today Riley went to see Dr. Rufa for her 6 year check-up.  As usual, she is a normal, healthy child.  She chatted it up with the doc about what she does for fun, what kind of birthday party she had, and what she had for lunch.  Riley was a (not so) brave soul and just got the flu shot today.  

Riley's annual stats are as follows:

Height: 46 3/4 inches (75th percentile)

Weight:  49.5 lbs (73rd percentile)

Just another stellar appointment to add to the books!

First Grade Favorites

Last night I asked Riley to tell me a little about a few of her favorite things.  I am hoping I'll remember to do this at the end of the year and see how much her taste in things have changed!

1st Grade, here she comes!

Today was Riley's first day of the 1st grade.  She has been assigned Mrs. Jackson as her teacher and after today, I believe she loves Mrs. Jackson, her class and the 1st grade overall!!  Here are some pics from this morning.

 A lovely neighbor walking her dog saw our pathetic attempt at a family selfie and asked if we would like her to take a family pic.  Avery looks a little terrified because the dog was a good sized dog!

Why does she insist on growing up???
