Please step on the scale

Six months and yet another doctor's visit. Today we, or should I say Riley was lucky as she only had to get 2 shots. Once again, she handled them well. Dr. Hsie was very impressed with Riley's ability to sit up and feels that Riley is advancing above average for her age. This of course is no surprise to mommy and daddy!!

Shots are no fun, but there is one fun part (or at least we think so). We always love finding out how much Riley has grown. So here are the stats:

Height: 28 inches
Weight: 18lbs 12oz.

Riley is almost as big as her big cousin Keira - Dr. Hsie doesn't have any causes for concern though. Actually she wants to bring Riley back next month because she didn't gain much weight from her last doctor's visit. Weird!

And as her usual self, she cried for a few seconds after her shots, took a nap on the way home from the doctor's office and was one happy baby when she woke up!! Sometimes she makes parenthood so easy!

(and yes this was really taken when we got home - we are lucky!)

Woah we're halfway there...

Riley is 6 months old!! Halfway to one. Our little girl has grown up so much in the past 6 months. This past month has been filled with many exciting moments including Riley learning how to sit up on her own, trying all new and different foods (and not being picky about any of them), and being baptized.

We were so excited about Riley turning 6 months that Aunt Jenny convinced mommy that we should bake Riley half a cake and celebrate. So I gave in and we had cake for Riley. Uncle Matt came over and helped celebrate.

Then it was bathtime. No more of the wimpy baby bath - Riley is now in her big girl tub since she can sit up on her own. We think she loves it because she can play with toys while she bathes now.

The only thing not so great about turning 6 months old is shots. On Friday Riley has to go back to the doctor's to get more shots. We're excited to see how much our "little" girl has grown. Teething is another things that stinks about getting older, we think Riley could cut her first tooth any day now. Stay tuned for more!!

Are you all here for me??

This weekend was so much fun! It was my Christening and my first Valentine's Day...on the same day!!! But the best part of all were the number of people I got to see. First was Aunt Laurie - my godmommy. She wanted to get here so fast she took a plane to get here. She came up very late on Thursday night. It was fun to wake up to a new face (not that I don't love my mommy and daddy). We had so much fun together playing while mommy cleaned. We went food shopping together too and that was so much fun.

Then Aunt Jenny came too. She drove all the way from NJ. I got to spend some quality time with her while mommy and Aunt Laurie got lunch. It was nice - she fed me and changed me, what more could a baby need?!

Later that night Juh-Juh and Gramps and Uncle Schneckie came to visit. Boy it was fin to see everyone again. I enjoyed my play time with Aunt Jenny and Aunt Laurie in the morning.

On Sunday Aunt Kristy and my big cousin Patrick came over for breakfast. I love my cousin Patrick - he's a pretty cool kid!

Juh-Juh and Gramps spent the night on Saturday and I got in lots of quality time with them. Gramps fed me my cereal and Juh-Juh fed me my bottles. It was great. I am also working on clapping my hands - thanks Juh-Juh for showing me that. I will make sure mommy and daddy practice with me everyday.

There were people I was missing this weekend that I hope I get to see really soon like Uncle Darrell and Keira and Uncle Nelson and Maddy. I can't wait to see everyone again. I hope that it won't be that long in between visits. Thanks everyone for coming over and visiting - I had the best weekend ever!!

God Bless Riley Paige Clark

Today was Riley's special day - her Christening. And boy what a beautiful baby she was today.

She was so good during the entire service, and what a relief that was to her godparents Uncle Matt and Aunt Laurie.

Riley's favorite part of the day was the gifts! She got some beautiful gifts including her very first "blue box" aka Tiffany's gift. Riley is one special little lady.

Thank you to all who took part in her special day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well Valentine's Day may only happen one day during the year, but because Riley had a few cute outfits to celebrate she started a few days early.

So...on Thursday she wore this outfit to daycare:

On Friday, she wore this outfit to hang out with her Aunt Laurie, Aunt Jenny and mommy:

After her Christening, Riley changed into another dress that was festive enough for Valentine's Day:

And finally on the night of Valentine's Day, Riley wore some hearts and bears pjs. I think it's safe to assume, Riley enjoyed her very first Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!
