Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!

Today is Halloween, it's my first. Mommy says I am way to young to go trick-or-treating, but I'm not too young to dress up.

I must admit, I am the cutest pea pod ever!

Who needs to go trick-or-treating when you have two sets of the best grandparents ever! Juh-Juh and Gramps got candy (which happens to be some of mommy and daddy's favorite kinds) and a book. Babcha and Pop got me burp cloths, a towel, some yummy formula and two books.

Tonight I am going to stay in my awesome costume and help mommy and daddy give candy out to the trick-or-treaters. I would also like to say thank you to Pat for my costume...I love it (and so does mommy and daddy).

What in the world?

Today mommy told me that the forecast was calling for snow. "What the heck is snow?" I thought. So mommy decided to dress me in my new onesie from my cousin Keira (she always gets me the most awesome stuff). It has a snowman on it and I am imagining that a snowman is made with snow, so I went with it. See?
Now by early afternoon I was still wondering, "where is this snow mommy was talking about??" So I waited and waited and watched and watched. After a few hours, I decided to heck with the snow - I'm taking a nap!
When I woke up, I was amazed at what I saw! It was snow. Mommy says it's only flurries and that I don't even know about all the snow we're going to get soon.
Of course you can only guess what happened next. You can't?? We tested out my new snow suit that daddy bought me. Here is a shot of me in the flurries. I thought it was fun! Can't wait to build my first snowman. Hey, do you think it's too late to change my Halloween costume to a snowman? Just kidding!!

Hello Liverpool!

We've moved! Our first few nights in the new place were a success. I think Riley really likes it because she has her own room now. She loves being out on the balcony and staring at the trees and the sky.

Riley loves her new Kiddopotamus fleece pullover for her car seat. We're glad she does, because here she's going to need it!!!

So long Montgomery...

On Friday October 24th the Clark family packed up all their worldly possessions and made the long haul from Montgomery to Liverpool, NY. While we're sad to be leaving, we are very excited to start fresh some place new.

Riley seemed excited about the move, so why wouldn't the rest of us be? Hope she likes snow!!

Shots...OUCH!!!

Today Riley had her 2 month check-up. Dr. Nadpara was very pleased with her progress, as she has achieved all of her developmental milestones thus far.

Some stats on Miss Riley:

She is 24 1/4in.
She weighs 12lbs. 14oz.

Her head circumference is in the 97th percentile (must be all those super genius brains), her height is in the 95th percentile and her weight is in the 90th percentile.

Riley was a trooper when it came to the shots. She howled for about 2 minutes, then fell asleep for a nice long nap. When she woke up, she was right back to her old smiley self. Check out her battle wounds on her upper thighs. At least she got cool band-aids out of the deal!!

And just think we get to do this all over again in 2 months!

What I learned in my second month...

Today I turned 2 months old. I learned a lot in my second month of life. Things like mommy won't talk to me when I wake up for my middle of the night feedings because then I think it's playtime but if daddy wakes up with me I can get away with murder and ruin mommy's schedule! I learned that if I really ever want to bug daddy all I need to do is go poop but make sure he is the only one around to change my stinky diaper. I also learned that I am the princess of the house and that mommy and daddy love me more than anything else in the world! I am not always the easiest baby (what baby is) - but rest assured, I know that when I smile mommy and daddy's heart melts. I wonder if this will still work when I'm 16?

Yes I am staring at myself in the mirror, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Now I see it...I am CUTE!!

I made friends with the Zebra on my swing...I think we'll call her Zoe.

Here I am the big 2 (months that is). Hmmm...I wonder what I'll learn next month?

*Happy Birthday Madison Rose*

Today was Madison's 1st birthday party. She now joins the ranks of her cousin Keira in the one-year-old club!

It's her party and she'll nap if she wants too! Madison slept for at least the first hour or so of her own party. But we did get a shot of the birthday girl waking up refreshed and ready to party.

The cake was delicious! And went very well the theme of cows for Maddy Moo Moo.

Best of all, Riley got to rock her first party dress. She was one of the prettiest girls at the party.

We had lots of fun! We can't wait for Keira and Maddy to help Riley celebrate her 1st birthday - be ready to party it up in 10 months!!!

Let's go swimming!

It may be fall and the air may be crisp and cool, but thanks to Aunt Laurie's big city house we were able to go swimming in October! This was Riley's first time swimming and boy did she love the water. Riley was a natural. On her belly she doggy paddled and on her back she did the backstroke...ok maybe she didn't really but it was pretty close. We had a fun day with Aunt Laurie, Uncle Schneckie, Aunt Jenny and her cousin Keira. We already called dibs on the next pool party at our new apartment in Syracuse in the summertime. Who's in??

I can do it myself!

Is our little girl more advanced than your average 7 1/2 week old? You decide! Check out what Riley can do (with a little help from her mama of course!).

Yay for Riley...what's next, walking?? I know, I know, I'm pushing it!

What's fair is fair

Mommy is a Yankees fan and daddy is a Braves fan. Since a few weeks back I posted a blog with our little Yankee fan, daddy thought it would only be fair to post a blog with our little Braves fan.

Now we can only wonder, which team Riley will really root for once she is older and can make her own decisions. As long as it's not the Red Sox, I think we'll be ok!!

The best thing about fall

A few weeks ago I tried my first attempt at apple picking. Unfortunately that day the sun was blazing and it was very hot, so I didn't actually get to pick any apples. Today we tried a second attempt at apple picking since it was a beautiful fall day. Me, mommy, Juh-juh and gramps, all my cousins and aunts and uncle Darrell and Nelson all went to Dressel Farms to pick apples. I was so excited about apple picking, I wore myself out before I even got there!

No worries though, I eventually woke up (of course after mommy picked all the apples she wanted) and began to partake in apple picking fun.

Here I got to pretend I was a giant ear of corn!

I might be new to this family, but I have come to learn that all my aunts and mommy are really obsessed with taking pictures of us kids. Here I am with my big cousins, Patrick, Keira and Madison.

After making us pose together, we all went into a giant corn maze. I led the way for the first half (ok, my mommy helped a little). Then Patrick led us the rest of the way...we didn't even get lost!

Once again, my crazy mommy was making me do crazy things. I posed on this pumpkin because as mommy said, "it would be sooooo cute." What do you think? Am I soooo cute???

I had the best day with my family. I can't wait until next year when I can walk around and pick my own apples, heck by then I should be able to say apple! I'll start practicing now!

When Irish eyes are smiling

The name Riley is of Irish and Gaelic origin. It's meaning is courageous. And we all remember how she entered the world...we see now how fitting her name is for her.

Riley decided to celebrate her Irish heritage early (well really since this hoodie won't fit her come March).

Now if only they had a hoodie that could help celebrate the Ukrainian side she inherited from Daddy!!
