Believe it or not winter isn't so bad when (a) we have a VERY mild winter and (b) we have our own backyard to play in. Playing in the snow was something we always did with Riley, but it is so much better now when we can go into our own backyard and run around like crazy people!!
We've been pretty lucky in that the last few times it snowed, it snowed on a weekend. This means we don't have to drive in it and we can go outside at any point during the day. Yesterday we had a few inches of snow it is was the first time it was packing snow and we could make snowballs and a snowman. It was a fun afternoon!
