Welcome to the World Riley Paige!

Well, well, well...Riley Paige Clark decided to slowly make her way into the world exactly one week overdue. However, she couldn't just be late - she had to come into the world with a bang!

Riley was born via C-Section on 08/21/08 at 8:38am. She weighed in at a hefty 8lbs. 10oz. and was 19 in. long.

Riley was born with meconium in her lungs. She had ingested quite a bit of it, causing her some problems with breathing. Riley was sent to Westchester Medical Center by helicopter (along with daddy) at 4 hours old.

Here's what she looked like getting ready to leave Horton and get on the helicopter.

Pretty scary for a first time mommy and daddy.

What we learned about little Miss Riley was that she was a fighter. She was put on a jet ventilator to help her breathe. By the next day, Riley was already taken off the ventilator, but given some oxygen to help her.

And, by day 2 daddy got to hold his little princess for the first time.

By day 3, mommy was released from the hospital and was able to come and visit. By then Riley was only on antibiotics, but was eating and breathing all on her own.

On August 25th, at a mere 4 days old, Riley got to go home with mommy and daddy. We can't believe she is all ours! So far she has proven to be a great baby. She sleeps, eats and poops well! Mommy and daddy are feeling more than blessed to have this little peanut in our lives.

Keep coming back to visit for more cute pictures and updates.
