We love Riley and now she can tell us that she loves us!!!

Girls Weekend Extravaganza 2009

A few months ago, Jenn and I decided we needed to have a girls weekend so that Keira and Riley could have some good old fashion cousin time and us girls can have some good old fashion adult/sister time. We picked a weekend and excitedly counted down the weeks...and finally the weekend came. Here are some pictures of the quality cousin time Riley and Keira got.

We watched lots of Yo Gabba Gabba - "It is fall, it is fall, the leaves are falling down..."

We went to the Apple Festival in Lafayette on Saturday. Not a great idea considering it had rained for days before the festival - it was one big muddy mess. But we went on some rides and had a good time while we were there. A bonus is neither one of the cars got stuck in the mud...always a plus!!

On Sunday we went to Critz Farm in Cazenovia. It was fun, windy, but fun. We went on a hayride, checked out the pumpkin patch, played on the playground and had a yummy lunch there. Here are some pics:

Riley and Keira even got some playground time in. Riley went down the slide by herself for the first time ever. Keira held Riley on her lap for the even bigger slide.


I believe a good time was had by all. Riley and I were so happy to host Jenny, Laurie and little Miss Keira. We can't wait to do it all again next year!!

Birthday cake = SUGAR HIGH!!

Today was Babcha's birthday - so we went over to Babcha and Pop's house for some dinner and birthday cake. I didn't care too much about dinner, I just wanted the cake...OH YEAH!

So we sang "Happy Birthday" to Babcha and I helped her blow out the candles.


I enjoyed my very yummy, sugary, Wegman's cake...it was delicious!


And I even sorta posed for a picture with Babcha.


I think the sugary flowers on the cake got to me, because I suddenly went crazy! Check out some of my craziness!

I hope Babcha enjoyed her birthday, I am glad I was able to celebrate it with her. I also can't help but feel really good knowing that we have some of that yummy, sugary cake in our refrigerator at home!!!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

And no we're not talking about Christmas...it's FALL!! Mommy says it's the best time of the year. The leaves change color, the weather is perfect most days, pumpkin picking and apple picking are just some of the things mommy loves about the fall. Today I went apple picking and had a great time. Mommy, Daddy, Babcha and me all piled in the car and went to Beak and Skiff. I have to say I think I did pretty good at picking apples, considering last year I couldn't even pick my own. I really enjoyed the tractor ride and eating my apple. I am so glad Babcha came with us! I can't wait to do some more apple and pumpkin picking next weekend when my best cousin Keira comes to visit with Aunt Jenny and Aunt Laurie. Boy is that going to be a blog to remember!!

Bite, Bite, Bite...No, No, No

OUCH!! Poor Riley got bit on the cheek at daycare today. Thank goodness for her wonderful teacher Miss Carol, she was well taken care of and given plenty of TLC. But even tons of TLC won't take away the mark left by the little biter!
